Fantasy folder maps

fantasy folder map

Materials: file folders, markers, and/or collage materials.

***Project designed for Cultura and Travessa Bookstores and Cosac Naify Publishers, Brazil (in conjunction with the publication of DIY Kids in Portuguese).

1. Invent a fantasy land. Is it a place for fairies, animals, pirates, or magic creatures? Give your place a name. Put the name on the cover of the folder.

2. Open the folder and draw the map inside. Make islands, oceans, rivers, and towns. Make castles, churches, houses, farms, and buried treasure. Use your imagination. Where does the dragon live?

You can store giant-slaying certificates, flying horse driver’s license, and other important documents inside your folder. Easy to carry with you on your explorations!
